I'm Thuy L., the breeder behind Westminster CH8 located in Colorado Springs, CO. We are community educators of ethical dog breeding & responsible dog ownership. Our vision is to improve the English bulldog (EB) by breeding health-tested bulldogs for TEMPERAMENT, genetic health & structure focusing on producing trainable EBs with healthy eyes, skin/gut & low-maintenance tails. Our mission is to change the world's perception of the HEALTHY bulldog, integrating a proven system of strong genetic foundation (Nature) combined with healthful prenatal nutrition and loving Early Socialization (Nurture). Our puppies are temperament-tested to match the approved families & their schedule & training commitment. We offer LIFETIME health warranty & LIFETIME breeder support. We also have studs for approved females. Our puppies come with limited AKC registration, then we approve for full registration at no extra cost AFTER our puppy is mature and shown to be breed-worthy through OFA certs & training and the owner has responsible breeding intentions. We gladly become mentors to those of like commitment to dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
My husband is my partner in our commitment to improve the bulldog when we found out how hard it was to find & buy a healthy bulldog from a knowledgeable, ethical breeder we can TRUST. I'm a retired military nurse; my husband's a dog behaviorist. We love this breed & believe that responsibly bred, they can be healthy & trainable. We educate buyers & breeders to reduce the number of dogs in rescues.What makes your program special?
We start w/foundation of strong genetics. Our health-tested bulldogs are trained to assure temperament, health & structure. We back up our puppies with LIFETIME health warranty & LIFETIME breeder support. Our prenatal care is careful and cutting edge. Our early neuro-stim system raises better-performing dogs. We temperament-test our puppies to match your family. We take back our dogs, if necessary to protect them. We lead by example to improve the breed.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
