Meet the breeder

I'm Cindy and Bladen A., the breeder behind Westwing Retrievers located in Peoria, AZ. Our puppies are carefully bred for temperament, health, and longevity. We were the first breeder in Arizona to implement the Puppy Culture program to provide enrichment and socialization to our puppies.

Q. & A. with Cindy and Bladen

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding Weimaraners in 1999 but in 2001 was introduced to the assistance dog world. I have produced hundreds of assistance dogs by careful breeding and rearing practices. In 2019, I was introduced to the Clumber Spaniel which my daughter showed and we fell in love with the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed only the best of the best with strong desires to please and calm temperaments which make great assistance dogs, all around sporting dogs and loving pets.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I had an excellent experience working with Cindy and Bladen to pick up my new Golden Retriever. Milo is so much fun to be around, and he definitely keeps me guessing what his next trick is going to be. Here is Milo's description of the almost last 4 weeks. Let's see.. toilet paper.. oh yes, that has potentials. Baby teeth on mama's arms.. definitely a must! Terrorizing my big brother Jake, that is a lot of fun. Yesterday, I went for a car ride. That was kind of scary as I had no idea where we were going. We finally stopped at Sunburst Animal Hospital. I kind of remembered that place as I had been there once before, except not with my mom. Dr. Taylor Stevens came in the room, and I did not like what I saw in his hand. One needle he stuck in my side, then the other one he squarted in my moth; then he decided my nails needed trimming. I don't know why, because I like to use those. Oh, and by the way, I now weigh 20 lbs. Thank you Cindy and Bladen for letting me go to my new mom. I really like it here, and my mom says she really liked the positive attitude shown by Cindy and Bladen.

Cindy and Bladen were an absolute pleasure to work with. Our baby boy is just the sweetest. I'd say an absolute angel but he's teething right now 🤣. Still the best decision. We love our little man!

Cindy and Bladen, were an absolute pleasure to work with. They’re very knowledgeable and care deeply about the puppies they breed. Breeders we’ve dealt with in the past have been a bit “eccentric”, but not Cindy and Bladen. They’re down to earth and friendly and ready to answer your questions and give helpful advice. Working with them to find our beloved puppy was truly an enjoyable and stress free experience. Not to mention that their puppies are beautiful, healthy and sweet. I’d highly recommend them.
