I'm Charlene R., the breeder behind Wetumpka Westies located in Wetumpka, AL. I raise top-quality Westies. Both of the parent dogs are my pets and are CKC registered. I truly love what I do and my dogs! Our dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. Our ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues and have the ability to be the greatest family companions.

Why did you start breeding?
I grew up in an animal-loving family on a small farm in southeastern PA. I realized that my favorite animal was man's best friend, the dog. As an adult in Nashville, I raised 2 litters of cocker spaniels, not as a business but as a hobby. Loving the whole experience of raising puppies, I moved on to raising two litters of Brittany Spaniels and 5 litters of Westies, about one litter a year. I love it!What makes your program special?
I want everyone who loves and cares for dogs like I do to enjoy a Westie. The sweetest breed I've had yet. I love sharing this breed's personality, health, food, and grooming needs with my buyers. I don't know of many breeders in the southern United States and would like to help new potential Westie owners with that opportunity! It goes without saying that I love having the puppies around! I'm looking forward to connecting with you!Where do your breeding dogs live?
