I'm Sarah L., the breeder behind Wheaton Prairie Danes-www.wpdanes.com located in Chippewa Falls, WI. All our dogs are health tested before breeding for hips, heart, eyes, and thyroid. Our program ensures the right fit for your new puppy. We use Puppy Culture from the start, train to a puppy door, train to use stairs and are socialized around other animals and people of all ages. We use only the best products for the puppies from the start.

Why did you start breeding?
After buying one of my dogs I didn't like what I saw from some breeders. Then I found several mentors to teach me everything I needed to know and educated myself on the specific breed. I knew I could do better to improve the breed and decided to start breeding.What makes your program special?
I have a strict return policy if a family can not care for a dog. We microchip each puppy, vet each puppy, require spay/neuter, have lifetime breeder support and have a secret Facebook group for anyone that has gotten a puppy from us. You can post pictures, ask questions or find someone else in your area to set up a play date with. You become part of the Wheaton Prairie family.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue and white, silver, chocolate and white, chocolate, blue brindle, black and white, brindle, fawn, blue, harlequin, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sarah
Sarah has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
"The deposit goes towards the total cost of the puppy. Prepaid microchip and registration paperwork are included. A $300 deposit to hold your place for a specific puppy is required. That deposit amount comes off the purchase price of your puppy."

Sarah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Early Retinal Degeneration, Agouti DNA Test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
