I'm Shelly M., the breeder behind Whimsy Doodles located in Omaha, NE. We teach our puppies social skills starting at a young age by introducing them to all kinds of noises, smells, & different surfaces. Our puppies come with a 1 year limited Health warranty, a microchip, vet check, dewormed, 1st set of vaccines & a care package from us.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always been enamored with dogs. My parents used to show Dobermans & a cousin used to show and breed shelties. I have always been drawn to breeding. I just needed to find the right breed to do so. My son became so allergic to shedding animals that he was having asthma attacks. This started me on the path of "hypoallergenic" dogs.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are a small breeder who raise and sell mini Bernedoodles in our home. We have both parents who have been health tested. They are our forever dogs. We do not believe in mass producing puppies for profit. We focus on a well cared for, loved & socialized puppy that are to be family members for their new homes. We do everything possible to ensure the best possible puppy goes to you.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include brown, red, sable, black, black and white, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Shelly

Shelly has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Shelly may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
