I'm Jaime G., the breeder behind Whiskey Run French Bulldogs located in Lexington, SC. We love our frenchies! They are super smart and surprisingly athletic dogs. We are striving to produce the most healthy, correct dogs we can. We take into account allergy issues, structural, issues and do
health testing on our dogs to try to rule out any of these issues in our breeding stock. Finding the right dogs has not been easy, but know the offspring will be work the effort.
Q. & A. with Jaime
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved bully breeds. As my kids were getting older and graduating, I decided I wanted a smaller dog to curl up with me in my chair at night and be my buddy. I'm not a fan of "froo froo" dogs as we call them so we chose a french bulldog! After my first one, I was hooked! They are so funny with the biggest personalities.
What makes your program special?
We spent a lot of time finding good breeding stock. We had a couple of heart breaks purchasing dogs that had to be rehomed due to health, structure and inherited problems. We were not willing to add these genetics to the breeding pool. We strive to produce quality, healthy puppies that are a compliment to the breed. We also differ in finding athletic frenchies. All of our dogs have very good breathing and have began training for competition events. We do not limit their abilities. We have the best couch potatoes or athletes whichever you desire.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
