Meet the breeder

I'm WhiskeyCreek D., the breeder behind WhiskeyCreek Doodles located in Sioux Falls, SD. We are devoted to raising top quality puppies in a family setting with an emphasis on health and temperament. Strong bloodlines, strict health requirements and temperament tested adults combined with 25 years of breeding experience brings healthy, happy puppies to our new families all across the US.

Q. & A. with WhiskeyCreek

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up in a rural farming community. Raising animals has been a large part of my entire life. I began breeding the Bernese Mt. Dog in 2000, working on improving their poor health genetics through selective breeding and increasing the lifespan in our bloodlines. The Bernedoodle was also added into our program 10 yrs. ago with emphasis on improving the poodle side of them as well.
  • What makes your program special?

We were one of the first to offer Bernedoodles in the United States. We have 25 years of bloodline improvements in our Bernedoodles, our customers have been very happy with the results of our pups with their health and temperaments. We get many repeat customers and referrals which we are very grateful for!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include mini, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black, black and white, tri-color, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Thank you for your assistance with telling me about your puppies and your breeding experiences. Mookie is now 10 months old and a very sweet buddy. We spend our days together, running errands and going on walks. She likes to be near where ever I am. Thank you for my sweet Mookie.

We had a wonderful experience working with this breeder. We picked up our puppy on Christmas Eve as a surprise for our kids, and everything went smoothly. The breeder was extremely responsive, easy to work with, and followed through on everything exactly as promised. Communication was clear and timely throughout the process, which made the experience stress-free and exciting. The only downside was unrelated to the breeder—it was the unexpected and fairly large fees charged by the platform used for payment/communication. That said, this was not the breeder’s fault at all, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a responsible and reliable breeder. We love our little Gizmo and are so excited that he's part of our family ❤️
