I'm Stefanie H., the breeder behind Whispering Prairie Australian Cobberdog located in Bellingham, MN. We are a small town breeder in Minnesota that focuses on producing only a limited number of litters a year. We test our parent dogs for health and genetics conditions. Our purpose is to raise healthy puppies with the best temperament and personalities. Our puppies are raised in a caring household environment, with our three children ages 14, 11, and 9, actively involved in their care. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Copper Toxicosis, Labrador Retriever Type, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Stefanie was fantastic to work with. The puppy (Leilani) we got from her is very well-tempered and intelligent. She’s proven to be very healthy thus far. I’m training her as an autism service dog and she’s showing some natural inclination towards the work, already. Stefanie had already done some obedience training with her. The transaction went smoothly and delivery was quick. Leilani has a beautiful, soft coat. She’s a cuddle bug who loves people of all ages and gets along with all animals (dogs, cats, and goats, so far). She was practically house trained when we got her. Stefanie has always been very responsive to messaging and when I’ve had any questions. I would absolutely recommend working with her if you want a great puppy!
