Meet the breeder

I'm Heather M., the breeder behind Whistling Dixie Schnauzers located in Scottsboro, AL. We love our Schnauzers! Our Nala, Sage, Rainey, Indy, Silas and Finley are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with puppies that we know will bring them the same joy!

Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

Because we love the Mini-Schnauzer breed so much we wanted to help others to be able to get a puppy to love. We highly recommend this breed for the love and energy that they have. They are non-shedding and hypo allergenic, so they make really good house dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

We are raising our puppies with love. We have grandkids that love them. We are trying to breed happy healthy puppies that will make someone have a man's best friend for dog years!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include salt and pepper, black and silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
