I'm Erna and Gudni G., the breeder behind White Arctic Cotons located in Ashburn, VA. We offer top quality dogs which are bred for health and temperament with focus on conformation. We, actively, do show our dogs at AKC conformation shows by ourselves and raise them in our own homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Throughout my childhood in Iceland, I was used to have both horses and dogs around on my grandparents and aunt's farm. Living in USA, I have always felt my kids were missing out, not having such connections with the animals and after seeing my childhood friend showing and breeding these wonderful little white dogs, I started to get interested in showing. When, my friend, then asked if I could host one of her dog while waiting for export to Iceland, I said jumped to the opportunity. we hosted him for some time and after he left, I missed not having a dog and purchased one for showing. So now most weekends are spend at the AKC dog shows.

  • What makes your program special?

    We have been lucky to get great support from some of the top breeders world wide. They have shared some excellent dogs with us, which puts us in a good place with our breeding program. During the last few years we have bred stunning puppies that some have excelled in the AKC show ring. A true testament of their parents and lineage. Health testing is also important factor of a good breeding program. All our breeding dogs are fully health tested per parent club recommendation.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
