I'm David N., the breeder behind White Mountain Brittany located in Boise, ID. We are dedicated to selective and intentional breeding to improve the next generation. All of our puppies are raised as members of our family until they’re ready to join yours. We hope to help families find their puppies from responsible and ethical sources to help build a better and safer world for our dogs. Why did you start breeding?
Over 30 years ago I started breeding Norwegian Elkhounds and participating in dog shows. Over the years I have owned many pure breeds. But after owning a Brittany I will never go back to another breed. These dogs are the full package of skill, talent and intelligence. They have the most natural on off switch I have ever witnessed from hunting to family time they are simply amazing.What makes your program special?
AKC registered, hip and joints OFA certified. Hand-raised to be well socialized, the puppies are bred for the best quality of field trial competitors, bird dogs and outstanding hunting companions. Excellent bloodline with solid hunting backgrounds: Pedigree includes lines with DC, NFC, FC, AFC, and HOF achievements. SKYE HOF line includes in the first 4 generations: Ajax VII, Franklin Country Bandit, Home Acres Allspice & Lane’s End Bowtie Annie. Our breeding program is dedicated in producing the highest quality of puppies that are ready for years of adventure to come.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from David

“These puppies are well socialized and we start beginning training practices. We do early scent introduction and noise decentralization. The are all AKC registered. The puppies will be vaccinated, dewclaws removed, tails docked and first round of de-worming. A starter kit comes with the puppies when they are picked up. Deposit is Non-Refundable if we have a puppy for you to reserve. (Deposit is refundable if we do not have a puppy available for you.).”

Remi has a temperament that is calm and loving in the home. Even as a puppy she was a quiet observer of her litter mates and was more focused on making sure each person in the room got lots of love. In the field she is fast, has a nose and drive that match and was easy and willing to train. She has a very short coat and will produce puppies that have loving personality, field drive and smooth short coats.

Skye is a female Brittany. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, David decided to make her part of their program. David has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
