I'm Kim J., the breeder behind Whoopsie Doodles located in Vestavia, AL. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. They are raised in our home using the BAB curriculum one litter at a time and temperament tested at 7.5 weeks of age before puppy selections take place so that every client can make the best decision for their unique needs and lifestyle.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After we got our first Goldendoodle, Ollie, in 2019, we fell completely in love with the breed. He was my husband's heart healer of the grief he carried for many years after the death of his oldest son. Seeing the amazing transformation of the man I thought would carry the burden of heavy grief to his grave into a man who lived with more joy and lighter heart, prompted me to begin our doodle breeding journey. After much research and planning, we started Whoopsie Doodles with our first litter in 2021.

  • What makes your program special?

    We follow The Badass Breeder (BAB) methodology so every puppy is temperament tested prior to being selected by our clients and raised on an advanced service dog curriculum that promotes confidence.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Bernedoodle puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Bernedoodle puppies include sable, black, black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kim

Kim has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $1,200 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes vet check, appropriate vaccinations, deworming, temperament testing and goody bag for going home. Deposits are fully refundable before puppies are 4 weeks of age. After 4 weeks of age, I will retain $100 of the deposit for rehoming/advertising.”

Contract & health guarantee

Kim may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Ichthyosis, Golden Retriever Type 1, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
