Meet the breeder

I'm Alacia H., the breeder behind Wild Roost Goldens located in Palmer, MA. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! Our love for our dogs pushed us to begin breeding. We love to see the results of our efforts in the sweet, happy, and healthy puppies that we’re able to share with others.

Q. & A. with Alacia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up with my parents breeding Goldens, and that's what started my love for the breed. Though our original lines have sadly concluded, I aim to develop a healthy, new line.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding ladies are put through thorough veterinary screenings. OFA is done on Hips, patellas, elbows, dentition, eyes and heart. They have also had their genetic screens done as well. My stud use is selected to ensure that healthy pups are produced so families can love them for years to come. 🐶
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
