Wilderness Beagles

Cheyenne W.

Breeder of Beagles

Meet the breeder

I'm Cheyenne W., the breeder behind Wilderness Beagles located in Idaho. We love this breed and do everything we can to help it thrive. We give each of our dogs and puppies the best care that we can. We are breeding dogs to be healthy, sound and have good temperaments. We want our dogs to be able to excel in the ring, in the field, and in the home.

Q. & A. with Cheyenne

  • Why did you start breeding?

Diana got into breeding in her 30s when she started doing obedience with her children's first dog. Her and her husband enjoyed obedience so much that Diana eventually got sucked into the conformation ring and started breeding American Cocker Spaniels. Cheyenne then grew up in a family that had already been breeding and showing for many years and fell in love with the sport as well. They made the switch to Beagles almost 20 years ago.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding progran is a family endeavor and is in the process of being passed on from one generation to the next. For the last several years it has a collaboration between two people with different styles and types which has lended itself to an overall better outcome.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
