Bing has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Bing partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 10 weeks old.
“We interview each buyer to understand their needs and context, and the type of home the puppy will be going to. Then we match our puppies to them to set up both the dogs and their owners for success. We give a $500 discount to owners who have completed an extensive Livestock Guardian Dog training course, e.g. the "Novice to Expert" course at livestockguardiandogcourses.com Maremmas work best in pairs, so if you purchase a pair, we offer a $500 discount on the pair.”

“Incl. microchip, shots, registration w Maremma Sheepdog Club. $2500: non-breeding registration $4000: breeding registration & Hip test $500 discount for completing LGD course $500 discount for a pair.”

Maremma Sheepdog
About Hashish Kebab
Hashish is a loving, alert livestock guardian dog. He has full registration with the Maremma Sheepdog Club of America. And is truly a physical specimen! Not only is he beautiful, he has impeccable health, PennHip score 0.29 meaning minimal risk of hip issues, incredible stamina and agility, and (experienced dog owners will appreciate this...) is amazing at self-grooming! At the time this photo was taken, it had been 9 months since the last time I brushed or de-matted him. I literally only groom him once a year, and it takes about 5 minutes because all he needs is to snip off any matts that are in areas he can't reach. He does the rest. He is standoff-ish to strangers, and extremely friendly and loving to those he's familiar with. He's incredibly smart and figures things out for himself. e.g. When we get a new mail/delivery person on our route, he'll stop barking at them after the fourth time or so that they come. He can be trusted with food, meaning he can have access to all the food in the world and he will only eat what he needs. Also resourceful - in the Winter, he loves to rear up on his hind legs and smash down on the surface ice in little puddles to get to water. He tends to prefer doing that than walking all the way down to where his heated water bowl is! We have not lost a single bird to predators since we got Hashish and his mate Chicharron. And a nice side benefit for me as a fruit farmer - he hunts and eats voles. And also kills moles, though he doesn't eat those.

About Chicharron
Chicha is fully registered with the Maremma Sheepdog Club Association, and has had her hips tested with PennHip and OFA tested shoulders and elbows indicating no issues. She is calm but cautious with strangers - needing to sniff them up and down before letting them pat her. And she is extremely loving and friendly to the humans who care for her - almost like a Golden Retriever. She loves being patted, and receiving belly rubs and treats. Chicha is a gourmet, and can sometimes be a picky eater - she will turn her nose up at low-quality treats, but will slowly chew and savour the good stuff. If you want to see a dog in heaven, give Chicha a piece of cooked pork belly! Very trainable and with a generally calm demeanor, she will mobilize when there's a threat. She'll take off like a shot to bark at stranger dogs, and we have not lost a single bird to predators since we got Chicharron and her mate Hashish. And a nice side benefit for me as a fruit farmer - she hunts and eats voles (she loves them, and savours them slowly). And also kills moles, though she doesn't eat those.

Wildsong Farm reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Maremma Sheepdogs.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
