Michele J.

Breeder of Havanese and Portuguese Water Dogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Michele J., the breeder behind Wincroft Kennels located in St. Charles, MO. Our dogs are being bred to fulfill the function they were created to do. We strongly focus on health and temperament as well as conformation, athleticism, and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our new families with wonderful, new, healthy family members.

Q. & A. with Michele

  • Why did you start breeding?

At 4 years of age, my first litter of pups was born in my room. My grandparents, great aunt, and my mother were all breeders, owners, and handlers. My love for breeding started naturally thanks to the loving guidance and mentoring I received growing up. My sister’s daughters are now 4th generation breeders and are my partners in this amazing journey.
  • What makes your program special?

We are extremely fortunate to have many wonderful families resulting in our program being built by many word-of-mouth referrals. We’ve produced two winning champions, performance, and working dogs in our breeding program. We strive for excellence and take pride in our breeding program. We love our dogs and know you will too!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Havanese puppies include white, red, and black. Portuguese Water Dog puppies include black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
