I'm Angela M., the breeder behind WindSwept Poodles located in Mount Sterling, KY. We do not crossbreed or breed merles. We also do not sell to those that do. I am purposeful in everything that I do regarding my dogs, which includes careful selection of breeding dogs and extensive health testing. My goal is to produce healthy dogs with great temperaments, working drives, and conformation that are exemplary representations of the breed.
Q. & A. with Angela
Why did you start breeding?
I purchased my first Standard Poodle from a grooming client and fell in love. After completing her health testing I decided to breed her. Once I got Alley it just went from there. I got bitten by the show bug and love sharing my amazing breed with other families.
What makes your program special?
My puppies are from genetically tested parents who have their OFA and eye exams. They have champion titles/bloodlines and/or performance titles and bred for their health, temperament, intelligence, and beauty. I breed for structurally and mentally sound versatile dogs and because of this, my line does tend to produce puppies with good prospects as service dogs and therapy dogs. My ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel within various performance venues and have the ability to be the greatest family companions.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
