Meet the breeder

I'm Gisele T., the breeder behind Windswept White Swiss Shepherds located in Rice Lake, WI. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, intelligence and athleticism. We are dedicated to providing families with wonderful healthy and versatile companions. We are very dedicated to Search and Rescue work with our dogs; we find it's an excellent fit for this intelligent breed.

Q. & A. with Gisele

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding Collies in 1990, our kennel would have one to two litters per year. I truly love raising puppies, from watching them grow and develop, to placing them in their forever homes. I enjoy staying in contact and helping our puppy buyers. In 2013 I acquired my first White Swiss Shepherd and have been working and training the breed to be my K9 partners with Search and Rescue
  • What makes your program special?

We breed top quality WSS for health, temperament and intelligence. Our breeding dogs are OFA CHIC Certified, which includes health testing for, hips, elbows, eyes, cardiac, thyroid and Embark DNA. We follow Puppy Culture protocols including ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and ESI (Early Scent Introduction), also exposed to crates, car rides, potty training and are well socialized.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
