I'm Laura P., the breeder behind Wine Country Reds located in American Canyon, CA. We produce beautiful red Poodles for pet homes. Our Poodles come from a champion conformation line, and our puppies excel in their forever families as beloved companions. We raise all of our dogs with love in our home. We have high expectations for our puppies and make sure to place each one in an enriching and loving home that will match their temperament and personality!

Why did you start breeding?
We regularly show our dogs, and we breed to continue our incredible line. It is our passion to responsibly breed, raise, and socialize healthy and happy puppies so that others can enjoy the gift of living life with a Poodle!What makes your program special?
Wine Country Reds is committed to only breeding dogs that meet the strict guidelines for quality that we have deemed appropriate to improving this wonderful breed. We breed with a focus on health, conformation, and ability. We are very particular about where our dogs go, and we do our best to pair each puppy and family with their perfect match. "AKC limited registration. Higher price for full registration. We do not permit doodle breeding. First vaccinations, worming, microchips Puppies go home with full layette. As above. Full registration is higher price. We sell full registration to very few individuals."

Parent health testing
Great level
Wine Country Reds reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Standard Poodles.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
OFA/CHIC DNA Repository
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
