Meet the breeder

I'm Linda K., the breeder behind Wintermist Samoyeds and Shiba Inus located in Littleton, CO. I am an AKC Breeder of Merit with over 30 years' experience. I am dedicated to producing healthy, well-rounded, and quality puppies. As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of my puppies, and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for prior to joining their forever homes.

Q. & A. with Linda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I wanted to do my part to better these breeds as well as maintain my show line. My breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of these breeds, while also placing an emphasis on producing Samoyeds and Shiba Inus of superior health, temperament, and conformation. I strive to not only produce beautiful puppies but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that these breeds will continue to thrive for generations to come.
  • What makes your program special?

I am a pedigree breeder, so I am very knowledgeable about my lines. Line breeding for health, standard, and preservation are very important to me. I do everything I can to ensure my puppies have everything they need to develop into healthy and happy dogs. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, cuteness is guaranteed, and lots of love is always included.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Shiba Inu puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
