Q. & A. with Laura
Why did you start breeding?
I have loved the corgi breed my whole life and always wanted one. On my 5 wedding anniversary my husband bought me my first corgi named Lola Kisses and I was smitten with her so much we decided we wanted to have at least 1 litter. I did my research on the corgi breed and started doing my genetic testing to make sure that my puppies would have the best lives I could possibly give them.
What makes your program special?
I have a 42 ft by 16 ft kennel that is heated and cooled with 10x5 ft outside runs and 4.5x5 ft inside runs. I teach my puppies to go to the bathroom in litter pans with pine chips by the time they are 4-6 weeks old then when they are big enough to learn the doggy door they learn to potty outside before going to their new homes. My puppies are socialized with kids and other different sized dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
