Meet the breeder

I'm Karen S., the breeder behind Woodland Brittanys located in Bedford, VA. Our dogs excel in both the field and show ring. They are also wonderful family pets that provide so much joy and happiness to anyone around them. We have high expectations for our puppies and want to place each one in an enriching and loving home that will match their temperament and personality!

Q. & A. with Karen

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our love for Brittanys began in 2000. Our first pup, Courage, introduced us to how loving, athletic, and supportive the breed can be and we have been hooked ever since. As you can tell, we are very passionate about the breed and we have built that passion and respect for the breed into every aspect of our program. We are looking forward to sharing these wonderful dogs with others!
  • What makes your program special?

Woodland Brittanys is committed to only breeding dogs that we feel are excellent representations of their standard and will make a positive contribution to their breed and to the families who love them. We focus on raising healthy puppies that will thrive as their best selves. Each puppy is bred, raised, and loved indoors to ensure health, happiness, and harmony at the start of its life.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
