Damon A.

Breeder of Brittanys

Meet the breeder

I'm Damon A., the breeder behind WTX Brittanys located in Snyder, TX. West Texas Brittanys is committed to producing versatile Brittanys that excel in the field, the show ring, and the home.

Q. & A. with Damon

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our dogs are members of the family. We do our own training and love to see the dogs utilize their innate instincts when bird hunting. Breeding is a way to enhance specific traits that my family values in a hunting dog and family member. We are exceptionally proud of our girl, Fagan, and are looking forward to improving her impressive line with Danny as the stud dog.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program is intended to strengthen the standards of the breed while enhancing specific traits that will help our litters excel as versatile family companions and hunting partners. From the hunting perspective, my goal is to breed a versatile Brittany that is an effective pointer and retriever. These pups should excel in the field whether hunting West Texas quail or dove.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are orange and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
