I'm Jen B., the breeder behind Yorkshire Beagles of Washington located in Moses Lake, WA.
Q. & A. with Jen
Why did you start breeding?
I originally wanted to be a vet but went into teaching instead. After raising a beagle to be an educational therapy dog and seeing how she supported my young autistic son, I know it was a gift that I wanted to give to other families. After 15years, we are even more passionate about bringing puppies to families to fulfill a need and seeing the positive impact that they bring.
What makes your program special?
We test the temperament of our puppies to match them with potential families to ensure it’s a good fit for both sides. As a result, we have only had 2 dogs come back to us and those were only due to the family not being able to care for the dog any longer. Our pups come pre-crate trained, they will have started learning basic training. We communicate daily so families see their pups as they grow.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
