Young Pups

Meet the breeder

I'm Sonya Y., the breeder behind Young Pups located in Ocala, FL. We’re a small, family-based Mini Aussie breeder focused on health, temperament, and early socialization. Our puppies are raised in our home with kids and other pets, making them confident, loyal companions. We offer lifetime support and love connecting with families as our puppies grow.

Q. & A. with Sonya

  • Why did you start breeding?

A few years ago, I decided I wanted others to experience the same joy and companionship I’ve found in Mini Aussies. Their loyal, loving nature and playful spirit make them truly special. What started as a passion quickly grew into a purpose—raising well-bred, family-oriented Miniature Australian Shepherds that bring happiness to other homes, just as they’ve brought to mine.
  • What makes your program special?

Our Mini Aussies are raised in our home with love and attention, not in kennels. We focus on health, temperament, and early socialization to ensure each puppy grows into a loyal, well-adjusted family companion. With limited litters each year, we give every pup the care they deserve and offer lifetime support to our puppy families.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
