I'm Janet S., the breeder behind Yup's Havanese located in Ocala, FL. We breed and show our dogs out of a love for and dedication to the protection and betterment of the breed. As breeders, we are stewards of the future of our breed, so we are careful to always maintain ethical breeding practices. This includes proper health testing, intentional breeding for specific traits, and raising our puppies with proper socialization.

When my son was around 6 he wanted a dog. We got our first Havanese and began showing. He is 33 now....

What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, chocolate, black, gold sable, and red sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
