Meet the breeder

I'm Brad & Sherrie & Morgan Z., the breeder behind ZuGolden Retrievers & Doodles located in Indianapolis, IN. We are dedicated to helping you to find your perfect Golden Retriever companion. We pride ourselves on our work and take pride in our dogs! We are an average couple with 6 grown children and 10 grandkids. We have a mini-farm and the dogs love having the room to run and play ball. We love being breeders! Our dogs sleep with us as a part of the family too. We have now partnered with our daughter Morgan on raising quality golden retrievers with assistance with Sherrie.

Q. & A. with Brad & Sherrie & Morgan

  • Why did you start breeding?

We bred Dachshunds for 6 years. We then decided to only breed our Lucy girl to a high-quality stud. We hope to help families find their puppies from responsible and ethical sources to help build a better and safer world for our dogs. Then we are now offering Goldendoodles with our girl Goldie (F1) & Buttercup F1B, Penny F1B to our friends male Keem who’s a F1B , so we are producing F2b
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are an integral part of our family and daily life. This creates the ideal environment for puppies. From birth, they grow in a secure, loving environment where they know that they matter to their family - that they have a purpose.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Goldendoodle puppies include petite, miniature, and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, and parti. Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

We are over the moon with our new puppy, Buzz! It was so wonderful working with Sherrie. She kept me updated and sent pictures, videos, and let me FaceTime whenever I wanted to see our puppy. She truly cares for her dogs and puppies. We couldn’t be happier to have found Sherrie and our sweet little guy! Highly recommend! ❤️

Sherrie became a fast friend during our short but meaningful time together! She truly loves her dogs, family, and community, so we knew we wanted her as our breeder. Dug is the picture-perfect chonk of a Golden and we love him so much already. We plan to keep Sherrie updated as he grows, and makes our family all the happier!

Brad and Sherrie were great throughout the process. Sherrie was very communicative and responsive. They opened their home to us on several occasions to allow us to play and bond with our puppy before she was ready to come home. We also had the opportunity to interact with our puppy’s mother and other adult dogs they raised. They were obviously well loved and part of the family. I highly recommend Brad and Sherrie.

Sherrie was so helpful right from the start and made sure Maple made it home comfortably. This was our first experience buying from a breeder and we felt supported all the way through. We are smitten with Maple and happy to recommend ZuGoldens.
