We’ve been busy making some exciting changes behind the scenes here at Good Dog, thanks to feedback from YOU — our trusted breeder community. We’re finally ready to share the improvements we made to some of our most important features, inspired by you. 

But first, we interviewed some of the amazing members of our breeder community about their favorite tools on Good Dog, and what they like best about using our secure payment method today. Here’s what they said.

Protection And Safety. 

Payment options like PayPal and Venmo weren’t made to support dog sales. We built our payment system specifically to protect the breeder community.

“I'm not a big fan of PayPal," said Melissa Farmer of Farmer Doodles. "There is no real cause for the seller if there's a complaint. PayPal takes the money and the seller is out of luck. So comparing Good Dog to those types of services, I feel safer with Good Dog."

For example, one of Curry’s buyers experienced an unforeseen injury that led to her being unable to care for the dog she’d purchased. “It was smooth. It was easy. It was efficient to handle,” he said. “When those things do, rarely, but occasionally, go astray, and you've got to refund or change the payment model, it was handled in a reasonable timeframe. The client was happy and I was happy.”
