In this module, we are going to talk about choosing your breeding dogs. Based on your breeding goals you have two key decisions: what dog should you breed, and who should you breed it to? In these decisions, we have to consider both individual selection and each combination of dogs as these decision relate to your breeding program and breed.

Now it’s time to evaluate your dog or dogs. Start by reading Evaluating Your Dogs and review the Sample Dog Evaluation of one of our dogs. Then download Dog Evaluation Worksheet and evaluate at least one of your dogs.
