We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

About 13-14 years ago I started searching for my specific female that I wanted. It took almost two years to find her & when I finally brought her home, it lit a passion inside! We’ve been breeding for almost twelve years now. Nothing brings me more joy than being so in love with each pup & then having the honor of delivering a pup to the new family. The joy & tears are so worth it in that moment!
  • What makes your program special?

Health for our crew is super important here in our home. Gary is a Veterinarian, so without a doubt, I feel my adults as well as my puppies are monitored closely and have lots of benefits from having their own built in dad/vet!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, red, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella) and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, blue and cream, black and tan, and black and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Heather was so responsive and knowledgeable about the breed. You can tell she really care about her dogs. She stayed in touch and sent me regular updates about my puppy. I'm so glad I found Heather, and I couldn't be happier with my puppy Twingo.

Hello, I’m Yaffe and this is my brother Otto. We were two lucky pups to be born to Ms Heather’s “1 Moore Dachsund” club! Our mom, Bunny, was a trooper because we were one of eight kids she brought into this world! We had so much love and care from her and Mr. Gary watching out for our health and safety. We love our new home where we have a big brother to protect us. We are living and loving the best fur baby life that any hound could ask for 💙❤️🐶

We recently adopted a puppy from Mrs. Moore and couldn't be happier with the experience. From the start, her professionalism and care were evident. Communication was clear, and Mrs. Moore provided detailed information about the puppies and all the guidance we needed to be successful puppy parents. We are so happy to have our pup, Butters, from Mrs. Moore. Although this process can be nerve-wracking for many, including us, Mrs. Moore provided frequent updates with pictures and videos of Butters from the moment he was born. These constant updates were greatly appreciated and helped settle our nerves. On adoption day, Mrs. Moore provided all necessary documentation and even a starter kit with food, toys, and a blanket with the mother's scent. Even after adoption day, she followed up to ensure the transition was smooth for us and Butters. Knowing that her husband is a veterinarian made us feel even more comfortable, alongside her extensive knowledge of mini dachshunds. Butters is nine months old now and couldn't be a better pup. He is entirely crate and potty-trained, super smart, and loves giving and receiving attention. We could not have asked for a better puppy, and it's clear his lineage is exceptional. Overall, Mrs. Moore showed exceptional dedication and care, making the process smooth and enjoyable. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a healthy, well-cared-for puppy.
