I'm Jessica, the breeder behind 303 Aussies located in Thornton, CO. Our Australian Shepherds are excellent representations of their breed, and we are proud to offer our high-quality puppies to loving homes. When we bring a life into the world, we take that responsibility seriously and do everything we can to make sure it gets the best start possible. Additionally, any pup or dog from our program is a part of our pack for life, and we will always have a home for them here if they need it.

Q. & A. with Jessica
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up on a ranch and around horses my whole life, I’ve always appreciated herding breeds. My intense love and devotion for Australian Shepherds started in 2005 when I found my very own beautiful blue-eyed Red Merle. I named him Riley. He never left my side, became my ride-or-die best friend, and gave me a deep appreciation for this spectacular breed.
What makes your program special?
303 Aussies exist to pair people with dogs that share in those special life moments, which only a breed like an Aussie can do.
We offer high-quality AKC Australian Shepherd pups from top bloodlines across North America, including Boyd Ranch, Freestyle Aussies, Slash V Aussies, 3D Aussies, Canyon Creek, Timberline, and Hangin Tree.
Every litter is a result of diligent planning.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Having owned Siberian Huskies for 22 years, I decided it was time to make a change in the breed of dog I wanted to adopt. My nephew mentioned the Australian Shepherd so I began to research the breed. Little did I know that there are a couple of favorable traits of an Aussie that are similar to Sibes that I discovered while doing my research. After deciding I wanted to adopt an Australian Shepherd I researched where in Colorado I could find a puppy, and I came across the Good Dog website. Through Good Dog I found 303 Aussies, and saw that one of their dogs recently had a litter of puppies. I then reached out to Jessica to inquire about her newest litter, and to see if she had any puppies that were not claimed. Jessica was very responsive to my inquiry and to my surprise she had one puppy available as the others had been reserved. It was like fate, as she had a Red Tricolor female, and a female is exactly what I was hoping to adopt. Jessica had a few questions for me, and then explained to me how the adoption process works using Good Dog. She sent me a picture of the puppy she had available at the time ( formerly Penny), and I couldn’t resist. I asked what the next step was and from there I submitted a secure deposit for her through Good Dog which reserved her as mine until puppy pick up day.
This was my first time using Good Dog, and it was a seamless process. Jessica is wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend her. She is very knowledgeable about the breed, and her Aussies are beautiful with the sweetest temperaments any dog could possibly have. Jessica was very quick to answer any questions I had and she made the process so easy and stress free. Every week I received updated pictures of my puppy and could see how much she was growing each week. She also sent a very sweet video of Mia (formerly Penny) playing with a new toy with her siblings. On puppy pick up day I had more questions and she spent a lot of time answering my questions and letting me know I could reach out to her if I had any more come up. She provided me so much wonderful information and a little gift bag for Mia. If you are considering adopting an Aussie or have questions about the breed, Jessica is amazing to talk with and work with. I cannot recommend 303 Aussies enough. Thank you Jessica for everything, Mia is the sweetest and having met her Mom when I picked her up, I know that all of your Aussies are just as sweet if not even more. I absolutely adore Mia.
