Meet the breeder

I'm Allison K., the breeder behind 3-Ring Farms located in Danville, KY. Our dogs are carefully selected based on pedigree, health, temperament, & versatility. Being in the dog world for a decade now, health and a good mind is very important to me. My goal is to produce not only good working and sport dogs, but wonderful companions with natural off switches too!

Q. & A. with Allison

  • Why did you start breeding?

I spent nearly a decade learning about my breeds and ethical breeding practices after my first dog developed health issues. I’ve surrounded myself with friends in the dog world, learning from them and any resource I can get my hands on. To this day, I still consume as much information as possible!
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are family first and foremost, most of our dogs sleep in the bed with us. We also work our dogs on stock, as well as participate in scent work, tricks, demo work, disc and dock diving. We aren’t aiming to be top dog, but a jack of all trades. These dogs are capable of so much, it's important that is proven.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Border Collie puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies are black and white. Border Collie puppies include tri-color, black and white, blue merle, red merle, white and blue, and white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Allison does a good job caring for her pride. They are happy, energetic, healthy and very friendly. She’s is thoughtful, understanding, and willing to help with travel concerns. Her genetic and heritage work appears exceptional. Beside the best dogs she had the best value available for pure bred border collie breeders that I found.
