LaVonna & Roy M.

Breeder of Scottish Terriers

Meet the breeder

I'm LaVonna & Roy M., the breeder behind 4 Scotts and a Dox located in Frisco, TX. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

Q. & A. with LaVonna & Roy

  • Why did you start breeding?

Because of our 1st Scottie, Kyra. Roy’s little sister bred her baby Layla, and she wanted us to have one of her pups. We chose the little girl who was the runt. We fell in love with her and the rest is history. Smartest, full of personality, stubborn and beautiful. That was Kyra! You know, once you have a Scottie, the rest is history.
  • What makes your program special?

Hands on, we play, hold them, get them ready for grooming. Treat them like we will have them forever They are our babies. Our children and grandchildren live in Tn and Iowa. My son lives nearby, but he is married and busy. So we rarely get to see him. These are our grand babies. It’s a hard job. But wish I knew this 30 years ago and how much fun and rewarding it has been. It’s bittersweet. But it’s nice to bring joy to people. There are tears, but on to another litter.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
