I'm Kelsey B., the breeder behind 4 States Mini Dachshunds located in Joplin, MO. We decided to start breeding to share the best possible puppies with excellent personalities, temperament, and most of all health! We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include piebald, sable, red, wild boar, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), wild boar and tan, wild boar and cream, chocolate and cream, wheaten, black and cream, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Kelsey
Kelsey has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $800 - $1,450 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our babies come with their first 2 rounds of puppy vaccines, current on worming (including intestinal parasites), health certificate/record & health guarantee. They will also come with a goodie bag that has their first collar, play toys, favorite treats, a small bag of their dry food to incorporate into your choice of puppy food and a blanket that smells like Momma/siblings for comfort! Of course, the best is lots of love to give! We do require a non-refundable deposit for your sweet baby if their go home date is more than 1 week away or if you choose to ship them to you via air or ground.”

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
