I'm Heather M., the breeder behind 4H Farms Dachshunds located in Morris, AL. We are a small, family-based breeder dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized puppies in our home. Our dogs are part of our family & are raised with daily handling, love, & age-appropriate enrichment. We focus on health testing, temperament & placing our puppies in responsible, lifelong homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We got into breeding after seeing the impact thoughtful, responsible breeding has on families. We wanted to raise puppies with strong health foundations in a loving home environment.
  • What makes your program special?

    What sets our program apart is that our dachshunds are raised in our home as part of our family. We prioritize health testing, early socialization, and individualized care for every puppy.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, cream, chocolate, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,950 - $2,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

We require a non-refundable deposit to reserve a puppy. The deposit goes toward the total purchase price and confirms a serious commitment while we continue care and socialization.”

Contract & health guarantee

Heather may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
