I'm Scott, Christine & Brenna K., the breeder behind 4K Labradors located in Fresno, CA. Our dogs are bred to produce healthy, sound, and versatile pups. They make excellent hunting companions and family pets. We breed each litter of puppies with the goal of superior temperament, health, conformation, movement, and the natural ability and drive to hunt. We take great pride in our dogs, and they produce outstanding puppies. We are also Breeders of Merit with AKC.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have been very active in past years with the Central California Labrador Retriever Club & the Hills Ferry Retriever Club. Christine has served as the President, Secretary and Public Education Coordinator for the CCLRC through the years. She served as the 2022-2024 Secretary for CCLRC and currently the Vice President for Sierra Vista LRC. Christine is also a member of the LRC.
  • What makes your program special?

    Christine grew up on a working cattle ranch. Her family owned and bred Australian Shepherds. We found Miniature American Shepherds, which are the scaled down version of the Aussies she grew up loving. Scott and Christine are members of the Wild West Miniature American Shepherd Club and the Miniature American Shepherd Club of the USA. Christine currently serves as the Secretary of the WWMASC.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
