I'm Julie R., the breeder behind A Slice of Heaven's Shih Tzus located in Navarro County, TX. We are a breeder of quality Shih Tzu puppies for loving and caring homes. Producing Gorgeous Cupie Doll faces and exotic colors with luxurious thick double coats and soulful round eyes small to standard sizes for 14 years as a small hobby breeder.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I began 15 years ago when I got my 1st Shih Tzu fell in love with the breed and with my BFF we bred our 1st 2 dogs and started from there and through education and experience created my breeding program.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are a small program that does not produce litters for quantity. We are selective in our breedings and are looking to produce puppies that are sound in structure, temperament, and health.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, liver, blue, silver, brindle and white, silver and white, liver and white, black and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Julie

Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pet prices start at $1,000.00 to $2500.00 with no registration rights. Limited Registration may be given which depends on each litter and at Breeder's Discretion. Full Registration Rights prices begin at $3000.00 for males and up for females are considerably more starting at $3500.00 and up are only sold with much consideration and screening of potential breeders and their programs. We require a $500.00 Holding fee to secure the puppy of your choice. Breeder Retains the right to 1st picks of any litter to retain for future breeding. If the customer backs out without reasonable cause within a 7 day period the fee is void and will not go towards a future puppy. However, if there is a reasonable and unavoidable cause within a reasonable time frame all holding fees paid will rollover as a credit to another puppy from a subsequent litter for up to 1 year. Void if we no longer are Breeding.”

Julie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
