I'm Kathryn S., the breeder behind Abbeyglen Shelties located in Phoenix, AZ. I am a small, home-based breeder with large expectations for my Shetland Sheepdogs! I offer top-quality, loving puppies. I strive to produce outstanding puppies that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive and have wonderful temperaments. All are health tested, as are their parents.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always had dogs. I love working with them and seeing the positive effect that a well-behaved, furry companion can have on his or her family. I am devoted to ensuring there are happy and healthy Shetland Sheepdogs for others to enjoy, and do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed.
What makes your program special?
I strive to breed healthy, quality pups that can fit any lifestyle. I take pride in raising well-tempered and socialized puppies who can excel in work, show, or as beloved companions. I do everything I can to ensure my puppies have what they need to develop into healthy and happy dogs. I truly love my dogs and can provide extensive knowledge and guidance for any family looking to bring home one of these wonderful dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white, blue merle white and tan, black white and tan, and blue merle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Kathryn
Kathryn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price reflects a basic health guarantee, health testsing, AKC Registration after proof of spay/neuter, first rounds of vaccines, wormings and socialization. Our Puppies are not available until after 9 weeks old. Deposit is only good by age 12 weeks. If no arrangements for taking possession of the puppy/dog by this time, the deposit is revoked and animal is available to the next person. All puppies are the same price regardless of color, age or size. Includes reistration, vaccinations and microchip. Proof and a schedule of vaccinations are provided when the puppy/dog goes home.”

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
