Meet the breeder

I'm Brieanna L., the breeder behind Abundance of Joy LLC Cocker Spaniels located in Cincinnati, OH. It is important to us that the puppies we produce have the best start that we can give them! They are in our home, on our main floor, so they are exposed to all the sights and sounds of a busy, family home! We raise them as holistically as we possibly can. Our adult dogs are loved and spoiled.

Q. & A. with Brieanna

  • Why did you start breeding?

I’m new to raising Cockers, but not new to breeding. I raised rabbits & did 4H as a child. I decided to breed cockers after having a hard time finding one from someone that I felt good buying from when I was looking to buy mine. Since I’ve fostered for our local shelters I am well aware of the pet overpopulation & wanted to make sure if we bring puppies into the world that we did so responsibly.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are AKC registered, and have had genetic screening done. Each dog was carefully chosen for our program, and they are so loved by our family. Our puppies are raised as holistically as possible (they are fed a quality kibble & cooked food, they see a holistic vet, & we strongly encourage our puppy parents to look into titer testing). We do all that we can to give our pups their best start.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red and white, buff and white, black and tan, buff, black and white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,215 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“Our puppies are for pet homes only, with limited AKC registration (no breeding rights). If you are looking for a puppy for breeding or showing, we can have a conversation to discuss that. Should something arise where you are unable to get your puppy, the deposit can be applied to a future litter. If there is an issue at the vet check up, there is an option to get the deposit back.”

I can’t believe we’ve only had Duncan in our family for three weeks! It’s hard to imagine life without him. He’s 12 weeks old today, and is wonderful in every way…smart, playful, curious, friendly, beautiful, and very well adjusted. He loves every person that comes into our home and is ecstatic when the neighborhood children or dogs come to play. Brianna is an amazing breeder; she’s more than a breeder. Brianna cares deeply about her puppies, and the entire process of preparing them to go to their new families. Duncan came to us with a travel and welcome home kit, full of goodies; a stuffed puppy that smelled like his brothers and mom, an electric toothbrush to brush his fur to help him get him ready for electric grooming, multiple bags of dog food, and treats, a leash, toys, a book about puppy care, even probiotics for his tummy, as he adjusts to his new home. Duncan was already responding to basic commands, and leash walking. He traveled and kenneled well. During our first roadside stop, I discovered he loves to play tag with me. It’s hilarious! He was immediately comfortable with his food bowl, leash, bed, kennel, hairbrush, and nail trimmer. We had a long trip home from Cincinnati to Minnesota, with two stops along the way to introduce Duncan to our children, grandchildren, and their large dogs. It was a very positive experience for everybody. he started sleeping through the night in his kennel after just three nights. I wipe out his ears almost daily and clean his ears with solution once a week, and he has never minded that. For anyone reading this, if you are looking for a Cocker Spaniel breeder, Brianna is the best! We’ve had two Cockers prior to Duncan, but I have learned more about caring for Cocker Spaniels well from Brianna as preparation for our puppy to come home than I ever knew before. Obviously that’s ignorance on my part, but Brianna filled in the gap, and I am forever grateful!!

Brieanna was so informative about the whole process, sending weekly updates, pictures and videos. I really liked that the puppies are raised in her home with her family and all the noise that comes with that. She sent home a tote bag full of information, blanket that had his litter mates scent, puppy food, information on how to change the microchip to my information and more. She raised a confident, health, playful pup that I now call my own! I highly recommend her to anyone wanting a beautiful cocker spaniel.

Brieanna was absolutely lovely to work with! She was incredibly informative and provided wonderful guidance on bringing our new puppy home. My family and I looked forward to her weekly updates and photos every single week. Communication was efficient, easy, and seamless. Her puppies are beautiful, and we could not be happier with our pup, Gordon. He is happy, healthy, curious, and the perfect addition to our family!

My experience with Brieanna was one like no other, she was super responsive and answered any questions I had. She went above and beyond with regular vet visits, grooming, as well as chipping, she sent my Sora home with a bag of her food as well as instructions, all of her paperwork as well as helpful guides on grooming, ear cleaning, etc. She made sure the second I got her she helped move over the chip information into my name, and reached out to make sure all was well. She truly shows her care for her animals and I would 100% trust her again for another puppy!
