I'm Ashley C., the breeder behind Abundant Life Family Farm located in Charleston, TN. Our dogs are bred specifically to do well with both children and livestock. They are exposed to kids, chickens, goats, sheep, cows, barn cats, and all the noises that come along with farm life such as tractors etc. Our dogs are ours or family members personal pets so their health is important to us!
Q. & A. with Ashley
Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding because we wanted to share our love of collies with others! As a parent and farmer it is so important to have a dog that is not only gentle and joyful but also has a temperament that is calm around children and helpful around the farm! Our collies have far surpassed our expectations and we hope they bring as much happiness to other families as they do to ours!
What makes your program special?
Our program is special because we are a small family farm that specializes in producing collies who are ready to be loved on by kids, and will fit in right at home on any farm. Our breeding dogs are our personal pets, or the pets of close family members. We don't want to over tax our mama dogs because we love them! For this reason our girls will only be bred every 2-3 years max.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and white and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
