I'm Franne B., the breeder behind Action Bull Terriers located in San Diego, CA. Although Action Bull Terriers are known for their success in the show ring, we value the family home above all else. Our puppies are bred to excel as pets, and are often raised with children. We breed wonderful companions and show dogs. Some have also excelled in obedience, agility, and dock diving.
Q. & A. with Franne
Why did you start breeding?
Although I have loved dogs since childhood, it wasn’t until I saw and interacted with a bull terrier many years ago that I became enamored with one breed. Bull terriers are quite a unique breed, and they certainly aren’t for everyone. Their winning personalities, their sense of humor and clownish behavior, their great love and affection for their people, and their distinctive looks sold me.
What makes your program special?
I have been breeding bull terriers for several decades now, so I have learned a lot over the years about the process. I do genetic testing for several generations back, as well as for the puppies. This rigorous testing allows me to breed for the most desirable qualities in a bull terrier while ensuring that they are healthy and have been screened for the more common diseases and disorders.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle and white, black brindle and white, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
