Meet the breeder

I'm Victoria S., the breeder behind Aiba Doberman's located in Antioch, TN. Here at Aiba Doberman's we breed for more than just a pretty face. With each and every litter produced, we strive to better what we have. All dogs are fully health tested and we aim to title every dog in our program. Puppies are raised in our homes with our children which allows them the very best start possible. We do not breed nor condone the breeding of " Albino" dobermans .

Q. & A. with Victoria

  • Why did you start breeding?

We started with one doberman and fell in love. Through trial and error I have started a breeding program I can be proud of. We show our dogs in AKC/IABCA/UKC/UDC and encourage our puppy buyers to get out there as well!
  • What makes your program special?

Here at Aiba Dobermans, we strive to produce only the best puppies that are easy to live with and love. We use puppy culture to help raise our pups. We do our very best to raise not only socially acceptable dogs but those that are stable enough to handle many different situations.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Great level

Aiba Doberman's reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Doberman Pinschers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
