I'm Trevy W., the breeder behind AKC California Winterstrom Labradors located in Mariposa, CA. Cookie from Winterstrom Labradors and Tye from Kenya Labradors litter were born June 30th, 2024. Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, adorable Labrador Retriever puppies and connect loving families with their new best friend! In order to start our puppies off on the right paw, we begin training and socializing at a young age so they are set up for success in their new homes. We prioritize the health and well-being of each one of our puppies and follow all appropriate puppy health protocols. Pups are socialized with people, dogs and even cows & are ready to play, hunt for critters and swim.

Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding Labradors about 1993 we had a Chocolate girl we bought from a breeder in San Diego and later adopted a beautiful Blockhead English male from a local woman who couldn't house him in her apartment anymore. He was 5 months old and 4 months later when our female came into heat that was it. Our female had 12 perfectly healthy beautiful pups. Since then, we have, through the help of a professional dog breeder, mentor and friend been blessed to be a co-owner with her and going on to breed puppies from a Bitch that went on to show and earn titles in Beauty, Hunt and Field trials.What makes your program special?
Winterstrom Labradors is a small hobby breeder. We have a small open range ranch that the dogs get exposure to livestock and lots of wildlife to have a fun filled full puppy experience. They get introduced to water, crate training and basic commands. We limit breeding litters to keep our quality breeding program going.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Cookie
This is Cookie, this is her second litter and her final litter, we are a small hobby breeder and fairly breed our dogs more the two litters. We are purposeful breeders, wanting to better the breed, making sure our dogs carry the best of natural Labrador traits such as retrieving, hunting, swimming, all around family dogs that love children.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
