I'm S. Alisha W., the breeder behind Alisha's Yorkshire Terriers located in Selden, NY. We are lifelong dog enthusiasts, and we’re excited to share our passion and purpose with others through our breeding program. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

    Our puppies include chocolate, tan and white, parti, blue and gold, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

    Alisha was so kind, attentive and responsive. She asked all the right questions and made sure to inform me about the breed. She still keeps in touch and makes sure our baby is doing okay.     What are the odds that I would find a Yorkie breeder that lives in the same town that I do! That's exactly what happened when I did a Google search for Yorkies near me! I came across 'Alisha's Yorkshire Terriers' on Good Dog, and I’ll admit I was skeptical and assumed it was clickbait, but it wasn't! I contacted her through the app and she responded almost immediately. She had quite a bit of experience with raising Yorkies and had one male left. We probably spent at least an hour messaging back and forth and since we live so close to each other, she came to my house that evening after work with him. When I saw that face I knew immediately that he was 'my dog', and I just teared up! He was the sweetest, softest, snuggliest most beautiful little puppy I had ever seen in my life. We made a plan for a second visit where I would go to her place so I could meet his parents and see the environment that the puppies were raised in. The visit was amazing! These are true homegrown little babies, meticulously cared for, and raised with love! It's truly Yorkie Paradise! I went ahead and completed the purchase on Good Dog, signed the contract, and made the pickup date for a few days later so I would have time to prepare for his arrival. His name is SunnyDay, and he brings me so much joy that I can hardly remember my life without him! I'm so grateful to Good Dog for bringing us together. It was definitely meant to be!

    When we downloaded Good Dog, we never expected to develop a relationship with a breeder who would feel like family. Alisha is professional yet passionate…her affection for her puppies truly stands out! Rico joined our family yesterday, fully wee pad trained at 9 weeks and full of playful energy. We owe this to Alisha, who sincerely watched over him & carefully socialized him with her other pets. She even took the time to transition him from kibble to our “Chef made” dog food. Throughout the entire process, Alisha maintained constant communication, providing puppy updates, photos, and even arranging a meet-and-greet. We felt incredibly comfortable and connected. Now that we've completed the process, she remains a part of his life, and we look forward to her visit someday!
