Meet the breeder

I'm Mike E., the breeder behind All 4 Paws of Pheasant Run located in Waterloo, IN. Our goal is to ensure every dog from our program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role. When we bring a life into the world, we make sure it gets the best start possible. This includes proper health care and socialization for each puppy, but it starts even earlier than birth. We set our puppies up for success by carefully selecting the parents of each litter, keeping in mind factors such as health, temperament, conformation, ability, and drive. Our goal is to produce well-balanced puppies and find them loving, responsible homes.

Q. & A. with Mike

  • Why did you start breeding?

We started breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels when our kids were in the 1st and 2nd grade. As our kids began junior high and high school we started to develop our golden retriever breeding program. Overall, we have been breeding for 15 years.
  • What makes your program special?

WE offer only champion bloodlines. Some of our dogs are champions, daughter/sons of world/reserve world champions. We believe it is important to start with proven bloodlines, health certified parents with great dispositions. If you have confirmation, great health and outstanding dispositions, then you will produce the best family members possible.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

We had a great experience with Mike and All 4 Paws of Pheasant Run! From first messaging Mike all the way through the purchasing process — he was very responsive and tentative and wanted to help connect my parents with their new puppy, Rosie. We drove to pick her up and we loved the facility and atmosphere. Mike has even reached out to check on how Rosie has been doing and adjusting in her new home. We just love this puppy and I would absolutely reccommend Mike and his puppies to anyone who’s looking to add a sweet fur baby to their family.

Mike was so awesome from the very first contact and just knew this was the right person who loved Goldens! I brought home an incredible puppy who is the joy of my life! So smart and beautiful! Working with Mike to get our puppy was a better experience than I could imagine. Mike is responsive, professional and kind. We are absolutely delighted with Duchess. She has a bright disposition, is very sociable and easy going. She is adjusting so well to our home. A huge thank you to Mike and his son Evan for helping us with this important addition to the family. Clearly they know what is important in raising healthy and happy puppies.
