Meet the breeder

I'm Shannon & Tim R., the breeder behind All Around Retrievers located in Logandale, NV. Our dogs are raised in our home and bred for versatility, trainability, health, temperament and drive. They are biddable and make excellent hunting partners as well as companions. We prioritize temperament in the home and place significant emphasis on a natural off-switch. Our dogs come from long lines of proven, health tested field pedigrees. We also title our dogs to demonstrate their ability and determine how to best improve upon their talents when planning a breeding. We are dedicated to breed preservation improving our lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive. We follow the recommendations of our national parent organization regarding health testing and certifications. Our goal is a balanced, healthy All Around Retriever that is enjoyable as a companion in the home and in the field. Our puppies are raised under foot in our home. Once the puppies arrive we share weekly photos/videos so you get to know each puppy in the litter. We assist with matching the puppy to the home to ensure a successful match. We provide lifetime support for our dogs and their families. Our puppies come with 1st set of shots, deworming, vet exam, and are microchipped.

Q. & A. with Shannon & Tim

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have been involved with training and breeding dogs and horses for over 25 years. When Tim retired from police work in 2019 he decided to take his hobby and passion for retrievers and made it into a career and we haven’t looked back since!
  • What makes your program special?

At All Around Retrievers we strive to produce golden retrievers and Labrador retrievers that will excel in any hunt test venue or advanced training such as obedience/agility yet still remain an enjoyable member of the family. Our motto and mission is “ from family to field”. Our breeding program has some of the best HRC and AKC lines in the country. We train and pursue advanced titles on all our dogs in both HRC and AKC hunt tests but they are capable in many other venues. Our dogs love to learn and partner with their humans. They are enthusiastic in nearly any advanced training you choose. Of course our dogs will undoubtedly hunt but most importantly they need to be a great asset and enjoyable addition to your family. We realize that your dog (no matter the training venue/goal) will need to be a pet first as this will be their role day in and day out. We do not want to live with a high strung neurotic dog so we do not produce them. We are preservation breeders and also prioritize health and longevity. We fully health test all our dogs and never breed until all breed recommended tests are completed AND the dogs are over 24mo in age. When you buy an All Around Retriever you have lifetime support and guidance from us as we are committed to being a lifelong resource for our buyers. We offer places to connect with other AAR retriever enthusiasts and share the success you have with your dog. We also include a 26mo health and hip guarantee (for certain testable conditions and hip dysplasia, details can be found on our website and in our contract). We never make you give your pet back to access this guarantee, rather we require vet records to support the diagnosis and to ensure spay/neuter of the dog. That being said if you prefer to surrender the dog we will always take them back.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Tim and Shannon were amazing. We did a lot of research on different breeders; Tim and Shannon went over and beyond; answering all our questions in a timely manner and being very transparent throughout the whole process. We could not be any happier with our pup we got from All Around Retrievers! Our pup is everything we wanted and more. We would highly recommend All Around Retrievers to anyone seeking a smart pup with a great temperament.

Shannon & Tim made the whole puppy experience great! They seem to care very much about their puppies and would do anything for them. Jax came to me very healthy. He is a very smart, handsome and loving dog! I would highly recommend going with Shannon & Tim.

Extremely happy with the breeder Tim, we picked up a healthy 7.5 week old puppy that was relaxed with us and enjoyed the 3 hour ride home. Barron sleeps thru the night and potty’s outside since the first day. Barron went to the vet the very next day passed with flying colors!

I am so thankful for All Around Retrievers. I absolutely love my Paddington, he is perfection. I smile every time I see him and just feel so lucky to get to be a part of his life. Paddington is active, driven, intelligent; he definitely sleeps with one eye open, ready to play with his brother and get into trouble at any moments time. He was not affectionate at first, we had to earn his trust, but now he lays his head on my shoulders when I'm on the couch and I melt. We are still learning about him to see what job/trainings he can do, but I have no doubt that he will love it and succeed. I feel like All Around Retrievers put in their due diligence to make sure our dogs were safe and healthy. They asked questions of me that made me feel like they had the dogs best interest at heart. I know I can reach out to them if I ever have a problem.

My husband and I had such an amazing experience with Tim and Shannon! From the very beginning they were very communicative and made sure our puppy was the right fit for us. We drove from San Diego to pick up our puppy and he practically slept the whole way home! Only went potty outside. This is by far the best puppy either of us have had and we get compliments on his behavior by everyone who meets him. Thank you All Around Retrievers! We cannot thank or recommend you enough.
