Meet the breeder

I'm Kamilla S., the breeder behind Allure Biewer Terriers located in Woodside, NY. With a relatively small breeding stock, our main goal is to breed healthy, well-adjusted puppies who are ready for the show ring and/or to be the perfect family companions, while providing superior care and individual attention to each of our dogs in a true home environment living as our pets year-round. 100% of our current breeding dogs live with us, are OFA CHIC certified, health tested beyond the required level, and all have been Championed, Grand Championed or reached the Bronze Grand Champion level. Running a small program means we only keep, show and breed our very best, and all of our puppies have titled and health tested parents. It also means that we do not have puppies available all the time. To ensure diversity we occasionally work with other breeders as well. We are active members of the Biewer Terrier Club of America - the national parent breed club. "Allure" is registered kennel name with the American Kennel Club.

Q. & A. with Kamilla

  • Why did you start breeding?

In the past I was involved with many different breeds - West Highland White terrier, Puli and Sighthounds. After showing my Biewer Terriers in conformation for several years, I finally decided to take the plunge into breeding now that I fully understand the unique characteristics and qualities of the breed, and what goes into a great breeding program. I truly am passionate about my work and plan to stay a small-hobby breeder to continue my show line.
  • What makes your program special?

I am an owner handler of Biewer Terriers. I do not breed my dogs unless they are CHIC certified in canine health. These tests are documented and are far more extensive beyond a normal veterinary check. I utilize puppy culture and am dedicated to having responsible breeding policies. They live with us in our home and are socialized with other animals and young children. I title my dogs in performance events as well - Canine Good Citizen, Trick Titles and Temperament testing - they are just as important to me as conformation shows.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
