I'm Joan K., the breeder behind Almost Heaven WV Collies located in Big Run, WV. Our puppies are healthy, intelligent, and family-oriented because they have been raised indoors as family. We adore our dogs! Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

Why did you start breeding?
My Mentor has been a long-time friend and since I have always had Collies I started helping her about 6 years ago. I decided that this is what I want to devote my time to; they make such wonderful family pets.What makes your program special?
They are kept in our home with lots of family interaction, so when they are ready to leave they are healthy and sociably ready. I put 100% dedication into my Collies.

Puppy prices include between $1,500 - $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Buffy is a female Collie. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Joan decided to make her part of their program. Joan has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 2 (rcd2), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
