I'm Megan N., the breeder behind Aloe Aussies located in Carmichael, CA. My name is Megan. Myself and my (very understanding & supportive) husband, Billy, are the heart of Aloe Aussies. Why did you start breeding?
What started as a quest for the perfect companion for us evolved into a mission to raise that same "once-in-a-lifetime" dog for others. That’s how Aloe Aussies was born! We love sharing our lives with our dogs, and even more, we love passing that joy on to you! When someone leaves Aloe Aussies with a puppy, our goal is simple: that years later they can’t imagine their life without that dog.What makes your program special?
We pour our every effort into producing Aussies that aren't just healthy & brilliant, but truly happy lifelong companions. Our puppies are raised in our home to ensure every puppy is socialized, loved, and treated with respect from day one. Living with us, they learn how to be a part of a family in a stable, enriched environment designed to support confidence, adaptability, and trust.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature American Shepherd puppies include black & white, black tri, red & white, red tri-color, black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include red, black, black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Australian Shepherd puppies include black & white, red & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Megan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Megan partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“We typically let families pick their puppies based on their own preferences and what they feel they are capable of, as they know themselves better than we do. But if you would like to be matched with a puppy based on your lifestyle by us, or are looking for a specific temperment, we are happy to help match you with any of our available puppies.”
Price
“Price ranges based on parents, breed, size, registration, rights, and availability. The price listed on a puppy is for pet homes and limited registration only. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a puppy (goes towards total) Puppies come dewormed, first shots, microchipped, health record, and a gift basket of puppy-essentials and toys.”

About Koda
Koda is a beautifully coated Red Merle Tricolor Standard Australian Shepherd with brown marbled eyes. She has medium drive, high energy and a long coat. She is shorter in height, and medium sized around 40lbs. Koda, or "Monkey", as we call her. Koda is goofy, playful, active, and vocal. She can and will speak her mind if she has something to say. She loves to make what sounds like monkey hoots and just the weirdest noises, simply because she loves to make me laugh. Koda is a carrier for DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), meaning she has only one copy and therefore is NOT affected by the condition, as two copies are needed to be affected. Her puppies have a chance of receiving this copy of this disorder that and also being a carrier, but will also be unaffected.

Mojo is a dual registered AKC/ASDR Black Tricolor, low white Australian shepherd with beautiful blue marbled eyes. He is long coated and medium sized for a standard aussie (40lbs). Mojo is an absolute sweetheart and total goofball. This boy LOVES people. He is low drive, medium energy, and wouldn't hurt a fly.

About Pebble
Meet Pebble! This tiny Blue merle tricolor Toy American Shepherd has a personality 20x the size of her. Only 11lbs, she is itty bitty, but she has a huge presence! Her goal every day we wake up is just to make me laugh. She wags her tail so hard her whole body curls up like a shrimp each direction she swings it, and she will do spins so fast at my feet, I don’t know how she hasn’t drilled a hole in my floor. A massive personality contained in a tiny body. Big enough to be the perfect cuddle buddy, who sleeps between my arms every night like a living stuffed animal, but small enough to be the perfect companion to go with me anywhere, always beside me or on my lap, never in my way.

About Boomer
Boomer is a beautifully show coated, Black Tricolor TINY Toy American Shepherd. Blue eyed and only 8lbs, this boy is absolutely itty bitty! Boomer (or as we call him, Boulder) is a people loving puffball. He is super friendly and adventurous, and so loyal. Always by our side, never needing a leash, this boy loves to go anywhere and everywhere with us.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Profile, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
