I'm Amberly W., the breeder behind Amberly's Dachshunds located in Michigan. We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.
Q. & A. with Amberly
Why did you start breeding?
We fell in love with our first Dachshund "Buster" when he was living with a relative. Then we had the opportunity to adopt him. Later that year we got a Female Dachshund puppy. Both dogs had the most incredible personalities. I grew up thinking Dachshunds weren't good with children or that they wouldn't make great family pets. we have proved that theory wrong.
What makes your program special?
I'm a small, hobby breeder. I only have a few litters per year. This means I am able to spend a lot of time focused on each mom before, during and after pregnancy. I'm also able to give her and her puppies the Indvidual time and attention they require.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“Puppy will be pre-loved, vet checked, dewormed and will have their first set of shots. For me to hold a puppy of your choice, I take a deposit of $200. This deposit is non-refundable unless the puppy has congenital defects, injury or has passed away.
Deposits are transferrable from litter to litter. But only my dogs, no other breeder.
Deposits are typically non refundable due to things like coat type, color or if you found a puppy elsewhere. When you submit an application and a deposit i use that as a signed contract as I don't require a formal contract.”
